Projects Overview

Zinc Co was an early mover in the recognition of the revitalisation of the dormant Australian zinc exploration sector. The Company has secured five projects in Western Australia which, despite highly encouraging exploration results including ore grade and width drilling intersections, had remained dormant since the severe drop in the zinc price in the late 1990's.

Mineralisation at the Conquistador and Cardinals projects is hosted in volcanic rocks and is similar in style to that at Oxiana's Golden Grove Mine and CBH Resource's Panorama.

At the Earaheedy and Horse Spring projects, mineralisation is hosted in carbonate sediments. The Teck  Cominco / Xstrata operation on the Lennard shelf in the East Kimberley of Western Australia is an example of this style of mineralisation.

The Mount Alexander project mineralisation occurs in metamorphosed sediments with some similarities to the giant Broken Hill deposit.

Zinc Co owns 100% of all minerals at the Earaheedy and the Horse Spring projects, 100% of all minerals other than tungsten and molybdenum at Mount Alexander and has the right to earn up to 75% of the Conquistador and Cardinal's Projects from Giralia Resources NL. Giralia retains some rights to gold at Conquistador and rights to nickel at Cardinals.
